University of Central Lancashire International PhD Scholarship Essays

The Scholarship Essays are tenable up to 3 years for PhD (via route MPhil) [subject to satisfactory progress] and open to international applicants only. This Scholarship Essays is an opportunity to complete a PhD in Child Computer Interaction Group (ChiCI group) at the University of Central Lancashire. Child Computer Interaction is a field in the Human Computer Interaction (HCI), and Group ChiCI at UCLan is an international leader in the design and evaluation of children's technology.
This is an opportunity to work full time PhD in a group of dynamic and innovative research. Scholarships Essays Being a student a higher research degree (PhD, Masters) or job training participants (project study of a degree) in QBI and become part of the start-up phase of the sequencing centers attract the second generation of new research that embarks on the trailblazing research projects to identify genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of brain function and brain-related diseases. REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Information technology or related field.

2. Experience with Bioinformatics/Next-gen tools and languages e.g. Read aligner, GATK, GALAXY, UCSC Genome Browser, Ensemble database

3. GPA of 5.5 (scale 1-7 equivalent to approx 78%)

4. Excellent written and spoken English (IELTS 6.5)

5. Fundamental knowledge of software engineering (programming, testing, object-oriented systems programming and design)

6. In-depth knowledge of Unix and Unix-scripting.

7. Experience with cluster and/or cloud computing technologies (e.g. SGE)

8. Required languages Java, Perl, Python, C++, XML, MySQL

Two Scholarships Essays are for full-time students who have accepted a place offered to a graduate program of research (ABD / Doctorate in Design or Fine Arts) for the coming academic year and who does not receive any other scholarship / fellowship Winchester School of Art Scholarships for the first year alone.
If you are a UK / EU candidates and you are the funds from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC: www.ahrc.ac.uk) qualify, you must do before applying for Winchester School of Art funding.Otherwise, your application will be rejected.
